Nice are reportedly expected to try and keep Arsenal-owned defender William Saliba at the club beyond the end of the campaign.
William had a torrid time at the Emirates after he joined the club last year and never had an opportunity to make his senior team debut for the Gunners.
The centre-half opted to head back to his home country on loan with Nice in January as he aims to play on a regular basis.
The defensive prodigy has gained his confidence back in France and has played each minute of his side’s seven league games since he signed for the French outfit.
And according to a recent report by the French newspaper and TV channel L’Equipe, Nice are prepared to try and keep the player at the club beyond the end of his loan spell.
William has made an impact at Nice and the club have looked a much more solid outfit in the defence with the Arsenal loanee in their side.
Saliba is enjoying playing football back in Ligue 1 and is expected to take a call on whether to stay stick with his team beyond the end of the season.
There are suggestions that Les Aiglons do have an option to extend the former Saint-Etienne sensation’s loan if certain conditions are met.
It remains to be seen whether manager Mikel Arteta wants the highly-regarded player back in his squad if the France youth international continues to impress in the country’s top-flight this season.
