Manchester United are reportedly interested in securing the services of Aston Villa stopper Emiliano Martinez this summer.
The ex-Arsenal stopper has impressed for the Villains since signing for the club back in September, keeping 14 clean sheets in the English top-tier.
According to Football Insider, the 20-times English champions are planning to let both David de Gea and Sergio Romero depart from the club in the summer as part of a major overhaul, with Martinez one of their top transfer targets.
As well as the Argentine, the Red Devils are also believed to be keeping tabs on Atletico Madrid’s Jan Oblak, Burnley’s Nick Pope and AC Milan’s Gianluigi Donnarumma.
Dean Henderson is viewed as the Red Devils long-term number one, however, head coach Ole Gunnar Solskjaer would like to bring in two senior stopper to strengthen his options and provide more competition.
Martinez, who joined Aston Villa in a deal worth around £20m, has been one of the standout signings of this campaign amongst Premier League teams, helping Dean Smith’s side climb up to ninth in the table.
Man Utd also planning to offer David de Gea to Atletico Madrid in a swap deal for Jan Oblak.
