Liverpool head-coach Jurgen Klopp is targeting a move for Wolves playmaker Ruben Neves, according to the reports.
The Premier League giants have already missed out on securing the services of Timo Werner, with the RB Leipzig forward now on the brink of joining Chelsea despite holding talks with the Merseyside Reds.
Neves, meanwhile, has enjoyed another stunning campaign with Wolves as Nuno Espirito Santo’s side stay in the hunt for a Champions League place when the PL resumes next week.
According to The Sun, Jurgen Klopp has identified Ruben Neves as one of his top transfer target for the summer transfer window.
The report suggests that the Merseyside Reds head-coach feels the 23-year-old plamaker can ‘freshen up’ Liverpool’s midfield
Neves, who was signed from Portugues giants Porto in a £15 million back in 2017, is now valued at around £50m.
The Merseyside Reds are looking to keep their midfield intact. Still, the Premier League giants run the risk of losing Dutch midfielder Georginio Wijnaldum as he has just a year left on his current deal and could depart on a free transfer next summer.
The Merseyside Reds have also been rumoured with Adama Traore, who has shone alongside with Ruben Neves at Wolves this campaign.
Klopp is keen to strengthen his offensive end to ease the burden on Sadio Mane, Roberto Firmino and Mohamed Salah and had targeted Werner.
But with the RB Leipzig forward seems to be on his way to Chelsea.,
