Danny Mills has warned Manchester United-linked Ruben Neves, he has a better chance of lifting trophies at Wolves than at the Theatre of Dreams.
The Red Devils are thinking about a £35m move for the player as they aim to bolster Ralf Rangnick’s roster during the January transfer market.
Ruben, who helped his side secure a famous win against United this week, will make his 200th appearance for the Midland side later in the month.
The 24-year-old star has been a mainstay in Wolves’ side since joining them in 2017 and his showings have caught the eye of the 20-time English champions.
Ralf wants to strengthen his current squad this month with the likes of Scott McTominay, Nemanja Matic and Fred flattering to deceive and Juan Mata and Donny van de Beek currently out of the side.
But Danny has sent a warning to Ruben about joining the Old Trafford side, who are just seventh in the top-flight and have not won a title since 2017.
‘Wolves have got as much of a chance at winning the Carabao Cup or the FA Cup,’ Danny told talkSPORT.
‘Manchester United aren’t going to win the Premier League, and they’re not going to win the Champions League.
‘Wolves might get into the Europa League, and they’ll have a better chance of winning the Europa League than Manchester United will have at winning the Champions League.’
