Brighton & Hove Albion centre-forward Glenn Murray has claimed that he ‘has not heard much about’ Man United allegedly trying to secure the services of him on transfer deadline day.
The 20-times English champions reportedly considered launching a move for the experienced forward before ultimately securing a contract for Odion Ighalo before the winter transfer window closed for business.
Murray’s contract with the Seagulls was due to expire at the end of the 2019-20 season, however, it was announced on Monday that he had signed a new one-year deal at the club.
“I’ve seen the story, but I haven’t heard much about it,” Murray told talkSPORT. “I just let my agent deal with all that and I just try and concentrate on what I’ve got to do.”
The experienced forawrd has managed to found back of the net 13 times in the English top-tier for Brighton last campaign, however, has struggled for regular action this season, scoring just twice in 17 appearences in all competitions.
Murray’s first Premier League goal of the current campaign came in last Saturday’s 3-3 draw at West Ham United.
Meanwhile, Man Utd alongside with Ighalo have managed to secure the deadline day deal for Bruno Fernandes who has been one of the best players of Sporting Lisbon in the recent years.
