Chelsea and Manchester United are reportedly planning a close tabs on Brighton & Hove Albion wonderkid Andrew Moran, who is currently playing for the Seagulls’ U-18 side.
Moran moved to the South coast from Bray Wanderers earlier last summer, founding back of the net 11 times and providing as many assists to help his team to third in the U18s Southern Premier League.
The 17-year-old midfielder is believed to be close to breaking into Graham Potter’s first-team squad after strong interest from some of the Premier League’s top teams.
TEAMtalk claims that Man Utd and Chelsea have been keeping tabs on the Irishman for the last few months, with both teams are keen to claim strong academy setups.
Potter has given youth players their chance to impress this campaign after Tariq Lamptey broke through into the starting XI before sustaining a hamstring injury back in December.
The Seagulls’ average age for the starting team in the 2019-20 campaign was 22 years old – the club’s third youngest ever squad.
Brighton another star Ben White has been also rumoured to be a transfer target for both Chelsea and Man Utd after his impressive form in recent years.
