PSG and Barcelona go head-to-head to sign £50m-rated Chelsea star

Chelsea star Jorginho has reportedly emerged as a possible transfer target for Paris Saint-Germain and Barcelona.

While the Italo-Brazilian has enjoyed a productive period at Stamford Bridge, the player has not always found himself in the first XI this term.

With less than 15 months remaining on his current deal, there is a suggestion that the two sides may make a mutual parting of the company with Juventus said to be the favourites for his services back in Serie A.

But, according to a report from an Italian daily outlet La Repubblica, Les Parisiens and Blaugrana are contemplating whether to get involved in the transfer hunt for his signature.

A transfer to Camp Nou theoretically seems less likely with AC Milan’s Franck Kessie believed to be on his way to the La Liga giants.

The Blues are currently in a position where they cannot agree to new terms with the 30-year-old, while it remains unclear whether the club will retain their policy of not handing more than 12-month contract extensions to stars over 30 once a takeover is finalised.

Meantime, Chelsea centre-half Antonio Rudiger is allegedly planning to meet with Tottenham Hotspur head coach Antonio Conte over a potential move to North London.

The Italian signed him for the Blues when Conte was in the Stamford Bridge dugout five years ago, and according to Sport, he has now scheduled a meeting with the Germany international.
