PSG eyeing move for out-of-favour Liverpool midfielder

Paris Saint-Germain are reportedly targeting the out-of-favour Liverpool midfielder Adam Lallana.

The French giants are allegedly going to lose centre-forward Edinson Cavani with reports claiming he’ll move to the United States.

Cavani is set to sign for LA Galaxy as Zlatan Ibrahimovic’s replacement as the Swedish star looks to make a return to European football.

And that has opened up the opportunity for the 31-year-old Adam to make a move to the French capital, according to the Daily Mirror.

This isn’t the first time a transfer rumour involving both the Reds and Parisians doing business together has surfaced.

Kylian Mbappe has been linked with a transfer to Merseyside although Reds boss Jurgen Klopp ruled out the possibility of landing the World Cup winner earlier this month.

The German said: “Buying this calibre of player is difficult. I don’t see any club at the moment who can buy Kylian Mbappe from PSG.

“I don’t see any club; that is how it is. And we are involved in the clubs that cannot do it. It is as easy as that.

“OK, from a sporting point of view, there are not a lot of reasons to not sign him. What a player he is.

“But it is about money, of course. No chance. Absolutely no chance. Sorry for killing that story!”

Reports in Spain claim they see Borussia Dortmund and England prodigy Jadon Sancho as a more attainable target.

Adam has struggled with injuries during the past two years and is out-of-contract next summer so will be free to negotiate a deal with the club.

The England international is a fringe player at Liverpool but did score a late equaliser at Manchester United to preserve the Reds’ unbeaten run in the Premier League this season.
