Liverpool are allegedly ‘in talks’ to land Real Madrid goalkeeper Andriy Lunin.
The Merseysiders were linked with a swoop for the 22-year-old back four years ago when the shot-stopper was still a Zorya Lugansk star.
Since then the Ukrainian player has joined the Galacticos and spent three separate one-year loan spells away from the Bernabeu.
According to a fresh report from El Nacional, Jurgen Klopp’s side are keen on bringing the goalie to Anfield once again.
The report adds that the English giants have ‘set their sights’ on him and are seriously keen on making the reported deal happen.
This season the youngster has been installed as No2 to Thibaut Courtois and has also played in two matches in the Copa Del Rey.
Signing Lunin, who is under contract in the Spanish capital until June 2024, would surely be an affordable mission.
But, with yet more faith placed in youngster Caoimhin Kelleher in the latest weeks and looking ahead, it looks highly unlikely manager Jurgen Klopp would be looking to oust him as understudy to Alisson.
In other news, Real Madrid are allegedly determined to sign Ajax star and Liverpool target Ryan Gravenberch during this summer’s transfer market.
The 19-year-old has been in brillaint form for his Dutch club this term, scoring once and picking up four assists in 27 appearances across all competitions.
