Real Madrid 23-year-old forward open to leave club in January amid Arsenal interest

Real Madrid striker Luka Jovic allegedly looks set for a transfer away from the club and the recent transfer rumours from Spain are linking the player with Arsenal and two other sides.

The Serbian star has proposals from the Gunners, Inter Milan and his former clubs Eintracht Frankfurt, and Todo Fichajes claim he’ll weigh up all three of these potential destinations.

The same report suggests Luka will most likely be leaving Los Blancos on loan for the time being, but one imagines there’ll likely be a permanent departure at the end of it, as he has been so poor in his time in the Spanish capital.

Jovic impressed at Die Adler a few years ago but just has not been able to step up for the Galacticos, and it makes sense that they are now seeking to offload the transfer flop.

If Mikel Arteta’s side can persuade the 23-year-old out-of-favour player to join them on loan, it could be perfect for all parties involved.

For Jovic himself, it is the chance of a fresh start at another elite club, where he is perhaps more likely to get regular game time, while for the Gunners it is the chance to take a look at a possible long-term replacement for the ageing duo Alexandre Lacazette and Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang.
