Real Madrid are reportedly planning to join Liverpool in the hunt for Borussia Monchengladbach forward Marcus Thuram.
The 23-year-old, is the son of France football legend Lilian Thuram, he has been in stunning form for Gladbach during the 2020-21 season, scoring three goals and providing five assists in 10 games.
Barcelona, Liverpool and Man City have all been credited with a strong interest in a player who has been named in the France national team for their November internationals.
However, according to Mundo Deportivo, the Los Blancos are also firmly in the race for the 23-year-old forward, with Zinedine Zidane’s side preparing to battle the likes of Liverpool and Barcelona for his services in order to sign a long-term replacment for Karim Benzema who is getting no younger.
Thuram – contracted to his German team until June 2023 – has found back of the net 17 times and registered 14 assists in 49 games for Die Fohlen since arriving from French club, Guingamp back in July 2019.
The Frenchman, who scored twice against the Los Blancos in the Champions League last month, largely operates as a left-sided forward, however, has also played on the right and in the middle for his Bundesliga club this campaign.
