According to an Italian sports TV channel Rai Sport via Calciomercato, Maurizio Sarri’s Chelsea will be part of a three-way battle to land wantaway midfielder Isco from Real Madrid.
The three sides who are most heavily connected with the player and would also able to make a realistic offer are Chelsea, Manchester City and Juventus with all three looking to push onto UCL success.
However, it is understood that the two Premier League sides are leading the race ahead of the Italian heavyweights due to their financial clout.
Reports suggest that the Spanish star has fallen out with Madrid coach Santiago Solari over the amount of game time he’s been getting and as a result of the divide, the star will be allowed to leave the Santiago Bernabeu this summer.
Isco looked to see the funnier side of his predicament the previous week as he was captured on the bench joking with Luca Zidane saying: “I don’t play because I’m bad” in Real Madrid’s win over Espanyol.
But with Los Blancos struggling to catch rivals Atletico Madrid and Barcelona in the race for the La Liga title, speculations are also circulating that it may be Santiago that is shown the door in summer which would leave any Spaniard transfer on the rocks.
