Real Madrid could reportedly move for Chelsea forward Romelu Lukaku when the transfer window will be re-opened in the summer.

Los Blancos are widely expected to secure services of a new striker ahead of the 2023-24 season, with Mariano Diaz set to depart club on a free transfer, which would leave the UCL defending champions without a recognised replacement for Benzema

Alvaro Rodriguez hit the headlines when he found back of the net against Atletico Madrid in the Madrid derby last weekend, however, the 18-year-old only has three senior games to his name.

According to Fichajes, Lukaku has emerged as a transfer target for the Los Blancos, with the Belgian outfits desperate to depart from the Blues on a permanent deal this summer.

The report suggests that the 29-year-old ‘dreams of representing Carlo Ancelotti’s side, and the capital giants have identified him as a potential acquisition to strengthen their front line options.

Lukaku starred for Inter Milan between 2019 and 2021, founding back of the net 64 times in 95 games, before re-signing for the Blues in a deal worth £97.5m.
