Zinedine Zidane is reportedly keen on either the London giants’s Olivier Giroud or Man City’s Sergio Aguero to replace out-of-favour and on-loan centre-forward Luka Jovic. Serbia international joined Real Madrid in 2019 after completing an eye-watering £57m move from Eintracht Frankfurt.
However, after an abysmal time in Spain which saw Luka net only twice in 32 games in all tournaments, Jovic has recently been allowed to rejoin Frankfurt on a short-term loan.
According to a recent report from Spanish outlet, Los Blancos are eyeing either Olivier, Aguero or Napoli striker Arkadiusz Milik as the ideal replacements for the recently departed Luka. Borussia Dortmund striker Erling Haaland remains their key target to become the long-term successor to Karim Benzema who is now 33-years-old.
However, in an attempt to fill the void the Serbian centre-forward’s presence have left within the squad, Zizou could look to either PL star. France international is out of deal with the Blues in the summer and has seen his long-term future the subject of much speculation.
Elsewhere, Argentina international, is struggling with injuries and game-time at the Etihad and with the South American’s deal also set to expire in the summer, could pose a tempting option for Zizou.
The French centre-forward has fought his way into the first-team and remains Lampard’s most reliable front-man, silencing his doubters by doing his talking on the pitch. The World Cup-winning striker stays Chelsea’s top-scorer this season, netting nine goals in all tournaments for Frank Lampard’s side.
With Werner struggling to adapt to the PL and Tammy Abraham in and out of the side, Olivier has proved to be the most reliable option down the middle for the west London outfit.
