La Liga giants Real Madrid have reportedly turned down a proposal from Liverpool for Brazilian forward Vinícius Júnior, according to Spanish outlet Sport
The report claims that Los Blancos don’t want the Brazilian winger to depart from the club, just two years after his arrival from Flamengo, with the South American forward in Zinedine Zidane’s future plans.
The 19-year-old forward has struggled to impress this campaign, however, the Brazilian forward has already totted up 59 games for the Spanish giants – founding back of the net seven times and providing 15 assists.
According to Sport Witness, the Merseyside Reds have tried to secure the services of the Real Madrid forward before he made his big-money switch back in 2018, and a new move wouldn’t be a shock.
The Merseyside Reds have also been rumoured with a move for Barcelona attacker Ousmane Dembele, as per the Daily Mail. The duo have earned comparisons to each other as they’re both talented forward’s on the block for Spain’s two biggest teams.
Therefore Liverpool’s reported interest in Vinícius should really come as no surprise, however, the rumours lack solid credibility with none of the usual suspects jumping on the news.
Liverpool also considering a move for another Real Madrid forward Lucas Vasquez.
