Real Madrid are allegedly at the head of the queue for Germany and Bayern Munich forward and Liverpool target Serge Gnabry.
The 26-year-old star has again been a key player for the Bundesliga giants during the 2021-22 season, scoring 17 goals and contributing 10 assists in 44 matches in all competitions.
He only has a little over one year left to run on his existing deal at Allianz Arena, though, and there has been plenty of speculation surrounding his long-term future over the last several weeks.
A recent report stated that the Reds target had turned down the opportunity to sign a lucrative contract with Die Roten, which had placed Tottenham Hotspur and Arsenal on high alert.
The Reds and Juventus have also previously been touted with an interest, but according to a report from Fichajes, Los Blancos are currently in pole position for his services.
Gnabry has reportedly been given the chance to double his salary at the club to a figure in the region of £14 million.
The proposed renewal would place him alongside Leroy Sane and Kingsley Coman in terms of the highest earners at Bayern.
But Liverpool-linked reportedly doesn’t feel valued by the management and is unsure whether he’ll have a leading role moving forward.
