Arsenal are reportedly interested in making a summer move for Real Madrid forward Cesar Gelabert.
The 19-year-old is yet to make his first-team appearance for Los Blancos, however, has featured on 13 times for Real Madrid Castilla during the 2019-20 season, founding back of the net once in the process.
The teenager’s current contract at Santiago Bernabeu will end in June 2021, and according to AS, the Gunners are ‘keeping tabs’ on the Spaniard as they weigh up a move for his signature.
The report suggests that the North London club, head-coach Mikel Arteta has previously kept close tabs on Gelabert in action against the Blues and the Gunners youth sides, although the capital outfit could face stiff competition for his services.
Borussia Dortmund and Lyon have also both been credited with a strong interest in a player who previously managed to found back of the net twice in eight games for Spain’s Under-17 team.
Gelabert has largely operated as a winger for the Los Blancos Castilla side this campaign, however, has also been used through the middle as an attacking midfielder or as a centre-forward.
Real Madrid playmaker Dani Ceballos who has been on loan at Emirates Stadium expected to sign a permanent contract with Mikel Arteta’s side.
