Liverpool have reportedly been named among the clubs keen on signing Red Bull Salzburg centre-forward Benjamin Sesko.
The Reds face stiff competition from Manchester City, Bayern Munich and Real Madrid in the race for the gifted 18-year-old.
Following an Austrian Bundesliga debut last term, he has taken over the role of leading the line this season in the absence of now Leicester City attacker Patson Daka.
According to a report from a Spanish outlet AS, Jurgen Klopp’s side are battling to land the teenage sensation.
The report says that any of the teams could move in either January or next summer for the highly-regarded Die Roten Bullen ace.
He spent a hugely successful 2020/21 season on loan at Liefering, scoring 21 goals and adding seven assists in just 29 2.Liga matches.
Thus far this season, three-times capped Slovenia forward has scored seven goals and grabbed three assists in 12 appearances in all competitions.
Also linked with a swoop for attacking partner Karim Adeyemi, the Reds could be about to continue their rich history of landing the best talent from the Austrian Bundesliga leaders.
Albeit predominantly a centre-forward, Sesko has also played on both wings – versatility that would further endear manager Jurgen Klopp to the starlet.
