Manchester United have reportedly been set an asking price for Argentina international Lautaro Martinez by Inter Milan.
According to the latest reports in Spain, the club will be forced to stump up almost £100m in order to land the Argentine.
United are desperate to bring in a striker in January and are reportedly looking at Lautaro from Inter Milan.
The South American forward has scored seven goals in 13 games this campaign and is unlikely to come cheap for Manchester United.
And Mundo Deportivo claims that the Italian side have demanded €111 million [£95.6 million] for his signature.
Inter paid £22.5 million to sign him from Racing Santander last year, and since then he has become one of the important members of Antonio Conte’s squad.
He was more of a bit-part player last campaign in his first year at the club, starting just 13 top-flight games.
But after Mauro Icardi was allowed to depart for Paris Saint-Germain on loan in the summer transfer market, Martinez has appeared as more of a starter.
Conte has viewed him as the ideal strike partner to Romelu Lukaku, who Inter signed from the Old Trafford outfit when they let Icardi leave.
It was reported that Barcelona were also keen on signing the 22-year-old but have now withdrawn from the hunt, per Mundo Deportivo.
United are keen to land a new striker to provide some backup for Marcus Rashford and have also been connected with Juventus star Mario Mandzukic.
The 33-year-old Croatian star has not played a single minute for Juventus this season thus far and is likely to be moved on in January.
