Serie A champions Juventus have reportedly failed in their attempt to secure a January move for Chelsea centre-back Andreas Christensen.
The 22-year-old Danish defender has struggled for appearances since the arrival of Maurizio Sarri, with just 12 appearences being made in all competitions this campaign.
That has resulted in the 22-year-old star becoming unsettled at Stamford Bridge, while the defender has recently angered Maurizio Sarri by leaving the bench before the end of the January transfer window.
However, according to Tuttomercatoweb, the Blues have decided to turn down a loan bid from Serie A champions Juventus with Andreas Christensen being required to stay as an option for Sarri during the club’s upcoming fixtures.
The West London club remains in all four competitions, and Christensen could feature regularly if Chelsea have an extended run in the Europa League and FA Cup.
Meanwhile, Chelsea have reportedly been told that they will have to pay £50m to secure services of Cagliari playmaker Nicolo Barella.
The Blues are eager to sign a long-term replacement for Cesc Fabregas before the transfer window ends in January, and Barella is one of a number of playmakers who have been rumoured with a move to Chelsea.
However, according to The Mirror, Serie A club have decided that they are not willing to contemplate a sale unless any interested team agrees to pay their asking price.
