Napoli are reportedly eyeing Chelsea attacker Hakim Ziyech as a potential replacement for Hirving Lozano or Lorenzo Insigne but could face a battle from league rivals AC Milan.
The 28-year-old star swapped Eredivisie giants Ajax for the Blues last summer and went on to contribute to 10 goals from 39 appearances across all competitions in his maiden season at the club.
However, the Morocco forward has struggled to become a regular first-team player under Thomas Tuchel and is now being linked with a transfer away from the club.
According to the Italian outlet Calciomercato.it, I Partenopei are eyeing Ziyech as a possible target should star players Hirving or Lorenzo leave the club this summer.
Newly-appointed Napoli manager Luciano Spalletti is an admirer of the ex-Ajax star and could turn to him in the event of one of the aforementioned players’ departure.
As Napoli’s plans to move for Hakim are dependant on the futures of the Italian and Mexican wingers, they haven’t made official enquiries for the Moroccan yet.
Should the Serie A giants decide to pursue their interest in the Blues star, they could face competition from the Rossoneri, who are also said to be interested in the star.
While Hakim appears to have suitors in Serie A, it remains to be seen if Chelsea are prepared to part ways with the player this summer’s transfer market, just a year after his arrival.
