Sevilla midfielder Joan Jordan has poured cold water on rumours linking him with a transfer to Arsenal as he’s ‘delighted’ to be playing for the Spanish giants.
The Gunners prioritised strengthening their options in attacking midfield area after missing out on Lyon’s playmaker Houssem Aouar in the summer transfer window and Jordan was on the shortlist of Mikel Arteta.
The North London club left it late but managed to put the finishing touches on a loan agreement with La Liga giants, Real Madrid for Norwegian forward, Odegaard before the deadline and the promising forward has since made two substitute games against Aston Villa and Man Utd.
And while Mikel Arteta’s side may be tempted to step up their interest in 26-year-old Sevilla man once again in the summer, it appears that Jordan has no plans to depart from the Spanish giants.
‘I do not see myself outside of Sevilla, at all,’ Jordan told El Desmarque.
‘And it is reality. The second year in Eibar I did see certain reasons to go away, but now I am in a spectacular club, with ambition, with demand and that is what my body asks for.
‘It is the ideal place to keep improving and do great things club. I am delighted to be here and my mind is here.’
