Liverpool have already been in touch with the representatives of South American starlet Evanilson over a potential January move to Anfield, claims Brazilian outlet Netflu .
The forward is 20-years-old and currently plays for Brazilian club Fluminense, where he was the top scorer in Brazil’s U20 league last campaign and following his fine form he attracted interest from top teams from Europe.
In fairness, talented forward hasn’t done anything yet at first-team level, so his stock is not very high unlike some of the South American talents who’ve recently transferred to Europe like Rodrygo, Gabriel Barbos or Vinicius Junior a few years back.
The report claims that Liverpool could acquire Evanilson for nothing, considering his deal set to end in February 2020 – so the deal is a risk-free one for the Reds.
Jurgen Klopp recently stated that he would need to strengthen the squad if we allowed Rhian Brewster to depart from the club on a season-long loan deal with the teenage forward desperate to secure regular first-team football elswhere.
The boss told the Liverpool Echo: “Yes, we have to see. We can’t just give the boys [away] on loan because we have built this squad.”
Evanilson, who has barely played first-team football, unlikely to arrive and immediately provide proper back up for Sadio Mane, Mohamed Salah or Bobby Firmino – however, if the initial report is true he could be another young talent who can be transformed into a world-class player by Jurgen Klopp.
