Premier League outfits, Southampton have reportedly made a ‘serious enquiry’ to Liverpool over the availability of Neco Williams.
The 21-year-old defender spent the second half of last campaign on loan with Championship outfits Fulham, where he has managed to found back of the net twice and provided two assists in 14 league games.
Following the arrival of Calvin Ramsey from Scottish giants, Aberdeen, Williams could now be allowed to depart from Liverpool this summer in search of regular first-team football.
According to Sky Sports News, via the Daily Mail, Southampton have enquired about adding Williams on a permanent basis in the summer, with the Merseyside Reds valuing the full-back in the region of £20m.
Fulham, PSV and Nottingham Forest are also keen to secure the services of the Wales international, who has three years left on his current deal at Anfield.
With Valentino Livramento set to miss the rest of 2022 with an ACL injury, the Saints have identified 21-year-old Liverpool star as a potential target to strengthen their options at the backline.
Williams has played a total of 33 games for the Merseyside Reds since his senior debut in 2019, including just six starts in the English top-tier.
