Torino turned down Liverpool’s £17m offer for 6 ft 3 defender

Liverpool have reportedly had a £17m bid rejected  for Torino’s  right-back Wilfried Singo.

The 20-year-old full-back has been in stunning form for his Italian club during the 2020-21 season, scoring only one goal and providing three assists in 23 games across the all competitions.

According to Tuttosport, the Merseyside Reds approached Torino with a £17m bid for their starlet, however, the Serie A outfit were quick to turn down the offer.

The report suggests that Jurgen Klopp’s team are ready to return with a fresh approach for the Ivorian defender, who is believed to be valued at £25m by Torino.

Singo, who has been with Serioe A outfits since 2018, has played as both a right-back and right-sided midfielder for Il Toro during the current campaign and his versatility could be helpful for Jurgen Klopp if the deal goes through.

Meanwile, Arsenal are reportedly ahead of Liverpool in the race to sign Real Betis attacking midfielder Nabil Fekir.

The 27-year-old playmaker has been a vital player for his Spanish team during the 2020-21 season, founding back of the net three times and providing six assists in 30 La Liga games.

The Frenchman was strongly rumoured with a switch Liverpool before joining Betis from Lyon, and a recent report suggested that the Jurgen Klopp’s side were considering reigniting their interest in the former Ligue 1 midfielder.

However, according to TuttoMercatoWeb, the Gunners are in pole position to secure the services of Fekir during this summer’s transfer window, with North London giants, head-coach, Mikel Arteta is a keen admirer of his talents.
