Tottenham Hotspur are reportedly determined to secure services of RB Leipzig playmaker Marcel Sabitzer to North London this summer.
The Austria international rose to fame last campaign as he inspired Leipzig to Champions League last-16 triumph over the Spurs, and the capital outfit have been rumoured with a move ever since.
Jose Mourinho’s side were rumoured with a January swoop for the Leipzig man, which failed to materialise, however, RB Leipzig chief Markus Krosche has previously acknowledged that numerous teams are interested in Sabitzer.
Now, German outlet Sport Bild claims that Sabitzer – who has less than 18 months left on his current deal – is likely to depart from RB Leipzig this summer, and Tottenham are at the front of the queue for his services.
The report also suggests that the RB Leipzig view Dominik Szoboszlai – whom they signed in January – as Sabitzer’s successor, however, Spurs will likely have to fend off interest from the Gunners and other teams if they want to land the 26-year-old this summer.
Sabitzer boasts five goals and five assists in all competitions for Julian Nagelsmann’s team this season.
