Tottenham Hotspur are reportedly set to rival Chelsea and German outfits, RB Leipzig for the signing of Barcelona starlet Ilaix Moriba.
The 18-year-old midfielder has entered the final year of his deal at Camp Nou and is currently being left out of the first team until his future is resolved.
According to the Daily Mail, Tottenham are the latest team to have held talks with the player’s agents, though they face strong competition from both RB Leipzig and Chelsea, who are confident in concluding a deal.
The West London club are believed to be in pole position to secure the services of Moriba, who would be keen on a move to the Premier League this summer.
Barcelona are resigned to the fact that the Spanish midfielder is unlikely to sign a new contract and have therefore placed a £13m price tag on the playmaker.
Moriba – who has chosen to represent Guinea at the international level – made just 14 La Liga games for Ronald Koeman’s side last campaign, founding back of the net just once and providing three assists.
Chelsea also eyeing move for another La Liga star Saul Niguez who has been tipped to depart from Atletico Madrid this summer.
