Turkish outfits Trabzonspor president Ahmet Agaoglu has reported that Liverpool have made a bid for stopper Ugurcan Cakir.
The Premier League heavyweights are currently well-stocked for options between the sticks, with Caoimhin Kelleher, Adrian and Andy Lonergan providing a solid backup to Alisson.
However, after being rumoured with a move for the 23-year-old Turkish stopper in recent months, Agaogulu says that the Merseyside Reds have made contact regarding a potential deal for the talented keeper.
Agaogulu told reporters: “There are offers for Cakir, we continue to receive offers. It’s been said Liverpool have made an offer.
“So a team that is undefeated in the Premier League wants my keeper. In other words Liverpool’s goalkeeper is in my goal.”
Despite the acknowledgement of an offer being made, the 23-year-old stopper still has four-and-a-half years left on his current deal at the Trabzonspor, putting Turkish outfits in a strong position over his future.
Meanwhile, Liverpool are reportedly ready to listen to offers for Nathaniel Clyne when until the transfer window shuts down in January.
The centre-back was heavily linked with a move away from the Merseyside Reds ahead of the 2019-20 season, however, ultimately stayed at Afneild having suffered a serious knee injury.
The former Southampton defender is entering the latter stages of his recovery from the cruciate ligament injury, though, and according to Sky Sports News, he will make a return to full training in January, however, Jurgen Klopp doesn’t consider him in his plans at Anfield and ready to listen to offers from other teams this month.
The report claims that Clyne also open to and idea to depart from Anfield as he refuses to be a back-up to Arnold, however, with Liverpool open to offers it is unlikely to see him leaving the club in January.
