Real Madrid are reportedly trying to reach a full agreement with Chelsea over a permanent deal to sign Reece James.
The English defender is one of the west London giants’ key men, having come through the Cobham Academy.
As per a Spanish outlet El Nacional, Los Blancos are attempting to bring the highly-rated full-back to the Santiago Bernabeu.
The report says that the Madrid based outfit have an excellent relationship with Chelsea and are hoping to seal a deal to land him.
Former Chelsea head coach Carlo Ancelotti is in charge at the La Liga side and is ‘very fond’ of Reece, interested for the Galacticos to sign the player.
It has previously been stated that Manchester City and Pep Guardiola are also big admirers of James, who has been impressive for both club and country since making the step up from the youth sector.
Four years remain on his contract at Stamford Bridge and Chelsea are not looking to sell the ace, who is currently facing a stint on the sidelines because of injury.
He also only penned a new deal at the Blues last year so it is highly unlikely that he would leave Chelsea any time soon.
However, Los Blancos could still move for the defender as Chelsea show interest in re-signing Eden Hazard.
