Manchester United attacker Anthony Martial has reportedly emerged as an alternative for the La Liga outfit Barcelona if they fail to land Manchester City’s Ferran Torres in the winter transfer window.
Blaugrana want to bring in a forward in the January transfer window and manager Xavi Hernandez has identified his compatriot as his top target.
The Spaniard is said to be interested in the move to Camp Nou but at the moment the Citizens are not considering selling their player.
The Premier League giants allegedly want €70 million to €80 million before agreeing to let Ferran go and for the moment, the Catalans do not have the transfer funds to pay those kinds of fees.
The youngster is their top target but the La Liga heavyweights are looking at alternatives and according to a Spanish newspaper Mundo Deportivo, Anthony is on their radar.
The France international has been a bit-part player at Old Trafford this season and is behind Mason Greenwood, Marcus Rashford, Edinson Cavani, Cristiano Ronaldo and Jadon Sancho in the pecking order of attacking players.
The former Monaco ace is likely to be open to a transfer but it is unclear where the star features in the plans of interim head coach Ralf Rangnick.
