Juventus senior figure Federico Cherubini has touched down in England to try and seal a deal for Chelsea star Jorginho, with the Italian allegedly keen to depart Stamford Bridge.

The Londoners are currently in a state of paralysis because of the sanctions imposed on the Russian oligarch Roman Abramovich by the United Kingdom government, though all sides are hopeful that the sale of his club to Todd Boehly’s consortium can be announced by the end of the month.

As soon as that happens, Thomas Tuchel and co. will be free to kickstart their summer transfer activity.

According to La Gazzetta dello Sport, I Bianconeri have made the Blues man one of their main targets and have already begun efforts to snare him.

Their chief is in the English capital and will hold conversations with Chelsea officials in the coming days to explore the possibility of doing a deal.

The fact that Chelsea haven’t rebuffed the negotiations suggests there might be a degree of desire to cash in on the player, who only has 12 months left on his contract.

Although the Old Lady are yet to reach an agreement with Chelsea, the newspaper claim talks over contract terms with the 30-year-old have reached an advanced stage.
