Arsenal were rumoured with a move for Tanguy Ndombele in the summer, however, Manchester City have seemingly stolen a lead in the race for his signature.
As per reports in France, the Citizens have made a €50m offer for the 21-year-old playmaker but Ligue 1 giants Lyon have turned down it.
The Premier League winners got a good look at Ndombele last week as they played against Lyon side in he Champions League at Etihad Stadium surprisingly losing 1-2 to French giants.
The French U21 star is a vital player for Ligue 1 giants and after keeping hold of Nabil Fekir in the summer when his move to the Merseyside Reds had collapsed at the final hurdle, they’d also like to keep hold of Ndombele and look to make an impact not only in Ligue 1, however, also in the European stages where they have one win from one game so far and sit on top of the Group stage table.
Time will tell if the Gunners make a move for the midfielder, however, if they do, it’ll seemingly cost them around €50m.
