Tottenham are set to begin talks with their Premier League rivals Manchester United over a summer move for Anthony Martial, according to reports.
A number of clubs including Arsenal and Chelsea have been keeping tabs on French forward.
The London duo are both admirers of the French winger, however, the Daily Mail say Tottenham are now frontrunners to secure Martial’s services.
The Red Devils signed French winger from Ligue 1 giants AS Monaco in 2015 for an initial £36million however, under Jose Mourinho he has struggled to secure the regular first-team football.
Alexis Sanchez’s arrival at Old Trafford during the January transfer window has limited his playing time.
Mauricio Pochettino put pressure on Spurs’ board to make big money signing this summer in order to compete for Premier League title.
However, they will face stiff competition from Chelsea and Arsenal as both of them are interested to secure his services.
That is no guarantee, but, as the Red Devils will hope to recoup the majority of the money they spent on Frenchman three years ago and Daniel Levy is a fierce negotiator.
