Villarreal centre-back Pau Torres is reportedly open to make a move to Man Utd this summer.
The 20-times English champions are eager to bring in a new centre-back at the end of the current campaign and have been rumoured with a number of options in their bid to find a long-term partner for Harry Maguire at the back-line.
Torres is among the names on Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s shortlist and according to the Manchester Evening News, the Spaniard is interested in a switch to the English top-tier.
The 24-year-old defender is believed to have a release clause of €60million in his current contract at El Madrigal, however, Villarreal could consider selling for less if offered a player-plus-cash deal.
The Citizens have also been rumoured with a move for Pau Torres with Real Madrid also believed to be interested in luring him at Santiago Bernabeu.
The 20-times English champions meanwhile are also believed to be keen in Los Blancos defender Raphael Varane, who Zinedine Zidane’s side are reportedly ready to sell this summer if he does not sign a new deal in the coming months.
The France international is currently contracted to the Bernabeu until 2022 and rather risking to lose him for free Real Madrid could listen offers for his services.
