The agent of Liverpool playmaker Xherdan Shaqiri has revealed that he is expecting offers from top teams for his client.
The 28-year-old’s attacking-minded midfielders future remains up in the air following injury-affected season, with Shaqiri playing only 10 games for the Merseyside Reds across all competitions in 2019-20 season.
Swiss international forward has been rumoured with a move away during the winter transfer window, and his agent and brother Erdin confident that hosts of teams would be interested in securing his services.
“I think there will be many offers for Xherdan in the summer. Already in January, there was concrete interest from two or three clubs,” he said to Kosovar TV station KTV.
“These – their names have already been taken up in various media – will knock again. Xherdan’s situation in Liverpool is not easy because of several minor injuries that lasted longer than we thought.
“Jurgen Klopp is in talks with him about more game practice – we have to wait and see. I think Xherdan deserves a lot more. He was unlucky with his injuries. But every time he could play again, he did his job and changed the game.”
AS Roma, CSKA Moscow and Sevilla were among the teams to have been rumoured with a move for Shaqiri back in January.
