Real Madrid head-coach Zinedine Zidane has revealed that Eden Hazard is “ready” to make a return to action ahead of Los Blancos’ Champions League semi-final clash with Chelsea.
The 30-year-old has struggled with injuries ever since departing from Stamford Bridge for the Spanish giants in the summer of 2019, and he has missed nine of the Los Blancos last 10 league games with his latest muscular problem.
Hazard did not make the cut to face Getafe in La Liga on Sunday, however, Zidane has issued a positive update on his fitness before Real Madrid face Chelsea in the Champions League on 27 April.
Speaking to journalist at a press conference, Zidane said: “He is feeling very better and he is ready. He wants to be back more than anyone else.
“We have been more cautious with [Dani] Carvajal and Hazard, because they are relapses. They are both better and that is good for the team.”
Hazard has managed to found back of the net twice in nine La Liga games for Zidane’s side this season, and he came on for the final 15 minutes against Elche back in March 13 before re-entering the treatment room.
